I think fall has become almost everyone's favorite time of year. It's so beautiful, the temperature is nice, and clothes are great [am I right?!]. It's such a peaceful time of year and is by far my favorite season. I've compiled a Fall Bucket List of ideas to make your fall the best ever!
| Burn fall candles- My favorites are from Bath & Body Works. I love 'Leaves', 'Marshmallow Fireside', 'Flannel', and 'Autumn'.
| Go to a Fall Festival- I bet if you look, a town near you has a festival in the fall. I grew up going to the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS. While it wasn't technically 'fall' themed, it's a music festival, it's held in the fall!
| Read scary books- Fall is my favorite time to read scary books. I think it's because Halloween is around the corner and I'm in the spooky mood. Plus, cuddling up with a throw on a cool and cloudy fall day is perfect for reading. I recommend everything by Gillian Flynn.
| Make pumpkin spice food- Pumpkin Spice Everything! Check out my recipe for Pumpkin Spice Granola.
| Go for a walk when the leaves change- There's nothing better than getting out in nature and seeing the beautiful fall foliage. Put on your comfy shoes, and grab a pumpkin spice latte and head outside!
| Buy new fuzzy socks- Every year I purchase a new pair of fuzzy socks. I love the feel of thick fuzzy socks when it's chilly.
| Make a big batch of chili- Chili is a staple around here in the cooler months. In fact I couldn't wait, the first cool day we had I made a big pot of vegetarian chili. I like mine over Frito's with a drizzle of ketchup. Everyone thinks it sounds gross, but it's so good!
| Go to a football game- This doesn't have to be NFL. Go see your local high school play or local college. I'm not a huge fan of football, but we usually hit a game or two every season.
| Go to the pumpkin patch- This is honestly a true bucket list for me because I haven't ever done this before. We have a local pumpkin patch that everyone goes to every year, I just never have.
| Bake- I bake a lot in the fall & winter. Cookies, cakes, muffins, etc. Pick a day and bake with your BFF.
| Do fall DIY crafts- The fall is full of endless DIY opportunities! Check out my Dollar Tree Fall Floral Arrangement DIY.
| Make caramel apples- So messy but ohhhh sooooo good!
| Make apple cider- You can do this from scratch or in your keurig. Last year we purchased delicious apple cider k-cups. Nothing beats homemade though, I should share my recipe in a future post.
| Roast marshmallows- I love the smell of a campfire. I have so many fond memories from my childhood up into my teen years of camping with my parents. Sitting around a fire in a hoodie and roasting marshmallows.
| Go on a day drive- You can do this alone, with your significant other, or your whole family. Take a drive in the country and look at the beautiful fall foliage. Make a day of it and pack a cooler and picnic!
| Discover new soup recipes- Bonus points if it's a slow cooker recipe!
| Carve pumpkins- Even if you don't have kids, it's always fun to carve a pumpkin.
| Roast pumpkin seeds- Save those seeds from carving your pumpkin and roast them. Roasted pumpkin seeds are wonderful.
| Halloween movie night- Host a Halloween movie night with friends/family. It can be scary movies, fun family movies, or both! Some of my favorite Halloween movies ARE family movies.
| Fall mani & pedi- You don't have to go to the salon, just give yourself a mani & pedi at home. Pick out your favorite fall nail polish. I've already done this, and I'm currently wearing 'Bronzed to Perfection' by OPI. It's good transition color of bronzy burnt orange.
| Go to the farmer's market- Ours closes up for the winter in October, so I like to go and stock up before they shut down.
| Celebrate the first day of fall- Have a party! Celebrate the first day of the best season of the year.
