Welcome to the first Adorn Your Android of 2015! You guys all know that this is my favorite monthly post to do. I love personalizing my phone each month. Adorn Your Android is such a well received post each month, so I'm definitely continuing it for 2015. This month I also have a super fun tutorial for you!
This month I just went with a super cute and simple theme. I was really drawn to this pink stripe background for my wallpaper. Then as I was searching for icons, I literally just picked what I thought was "cute". No rhyme or reason. I think it turned out pretty well! Sometimes it's easier to not have a specific theme in mind. I wanted a break from "folders" as well so I chose my most used apps and just placed them on my home screen.

This month's tutorial is going to be on the app Pocket Avatars. This app is SO MUCH FUN! My family & friends have been having a blast sending little video instant messages to each other with this app.
Pocket Avatars is a FREE fun messaging app that lets you record a personalized avatar message and send it to your friends and family. Pocket Avatars is available on the Google Play store and the iTunes store. There's lots of avatars to choose from...
The avatars in Pocket Avatars utilize your front facing camera to mimic your facial expressions and mouth movement. My son actually said that the blow fish avatar looked like me. I'm not sure that was a compliment... ahah!
All you have to do is pick out which avatar you want. Then hit that little record button in the middle. You've now got a hilariously fun way to brighten someone's day! Send a message of love, a joke, or even say happy birthday! My favorite recent message I received was from my friend Joey who told me Happy New Year using Pocket Avatars!
As you can see, you can also save your message to view later! I love this feature! It also allows you to share with others.
Joey and I were messaging each other with Pocket Avatars the other night while I was working. It was a slow night at work and my co-workers and I were having a blast playing with Pocket Avatars.
This is one of my co-workers who we recruited to Pocket Avatars because he was enjoying watching our video avatar messages so much! We're a fun bunch ahah! Sometimes you just have to get goofy at work! When you get a bunch of I.T. nerds together, you never know what we'll do to pass the time!
Pocket Avatars is so fun and the animation is incredibly impressive. You can even share messages via email! If you use it, send me a message!
I've heard so much about this app recently. My husband would absolutely love it, and I know he would be sending these videos to all his friends!
