I watch a lot of house cleaning videos on YouTube. I'm not sure when that obsession started or how I ended up there. You know how you watch YouTube, then click on suggested videos until you don't even know what you're watching or why? I think that's how this happened. I'm fascinated by other people's routines and lives [I'll list a few of my favorite channels below].
I've been shopping at a local health food store for 15 years and that's when I first was introduced to Mrs. Meyer's products. My local chain stores didn't carry it then. The first Mrs. Meyer's product I purchased was the All Purpose Cleaner Concentrate in Lavender. I used it for everything. I've always been a big fan of these products and their scents.
While watching a favorite YouTuber she mentioned Grove Collaborative. I was curious and hopped over to check out the company. I was blown away at the prices of the products. Much cheaper than my local stores. I was also incredibly swayed by the great Free Gift offer at the time I signed up. The Free Gift offer was a bottle of Mrs. Meyer's Multi-Surface spray, Dish Soap, Hand Soap, decorative tray, and a 16oz glass Spray Bottle. I read the reviews and decided I wanted to give it a go.
I received my purchase today and I immediately took pictures and wanted to share it with you. I think this is a steal. I received all the products above in the picture for only $20. I purchased the Molly's Suds dryer balls [I've been meaning to buy dryer balls for quite some time now], and the walnut sponges. The rest was free!
Let's dive in and look at what I got...
When choosing your Free Mrs. Meyer's items, they let you choose the scent. I've recently been obsessed with the Basil scent, so that's what I chose. All 4 of these pieces were free with my order. Full size cleaning products and the adorable tray that they fit perfectly on. The hand soap retails for $3.89, the dish soap is $3.89 and the Multi-Surface spray is $3.89. That's 10 cents cheaper than Target, and a lot cheaper than my local health food store.
Here's a closeup of the stone tray. It's a very nice quality and retails for $9.95. I was lucky enough to receive this as one of my free items. It's so pretty and classic and my Mrs. Meyer's products look great on it!
I also received this 16oz Glass Spray Bottle with a silicone sleeve for free. This will be a great bottle for mixing up your own cleaning supplies if you use essential oils. I haven't decided what I'll use it for just yet. Maybe mix up homemade glass cleaner in it or mix up Mrs. Meyer's concentrates in it. It's very sturdy and well made. This product retails for $8.95.
I purchased these Molly's Suds Wool Dryer Balls for $18.95. I've been wanting to buy dryer balls for awhile, I just never got around to it. I'm really hoping it will shorten drying time like it says. I'll definitely update you on that. I need to do laundry today anyway! I like the idea of shortening drying time and that they soften your clothes without chemicals. I'm incredibly excited to try these out.
The other item I purchased was this set of Walnut sponges for $3.95. That's a little pricey in my opinion for sponges, but they're very popular with this company. I decided I wanted to see what the hype was about. It might be a weird thing to say, but I think they're really pretty. Very clean and chic looking as opposed to normal store bought sponges.
What is Grove Collaborative exactly?
Grove Collaborative offers all-natural cleaning and personal products at a discounted price. It's a recurring service but YOU choose when you want a shipment. You are in control of what you receive and how often. When you sign up with Grove Collaborative, they automatically enroll in a trial period of their VIP services. The VIP services is $19.99 a year and you receive free products every 60-90 days AND free shipping on all of your orders no matter how big or small. Since I plan on sticking around and ordering my products from here, I went ahead and kept the VIP service. You can opt out though easily.
I browsed the Glove Collaborative Facebook page prior to making the decision to keep the VIP service. There's a lot of people negatively saying things about Grove Collaborative on there. Here's what I deduced though... I think a lot of people didn't realize it was a recurring service and were surprised when they were charged the following month for the items in their cart [however, you will receive emails reminding you prior to shipment date]. There was a lot more raves than woes though. I'll let you know what I think as I get more into it. For now though, I found the website super user friendly and I understood what I was getting into when I started it. I figured out right away how to remove the suggested items from my cart, add what I wanted, and I read all the details so I knew it was recurring.

Disclaimer: I am NOT affiliated with Grove Collaborative. I purchased everything with my own money and used a YouTuber's referral link to sign up. They did not send me anything special for being a blogger and they don't know I'm writing about them ahah. However, as a customer I do have a link to share if you want $10 off your first order, check it out here.
