Friday Favorites

I've had a pretty busy week at Emilee Speaks HQ. Filmed several videos, had several Etsy orders to make and get out, and posted to the blog 3 times this week (yay!). I love when I am able to get everything done that I want in a week. Just don't come over and look at my apartment... now I need to tackle cleaning this weekend, haha!

The Uncurated Life is a podcast from Cindy Guentert-Baldo of Llamas Love Lettering. I've been a fan of Cindy for many years after my experience with her in the Planners Gone Wild Facebook group. She's a straight-forward, tell it like it is, uncensored woman. I love that.

She recently started a podcast that has resonated with me so much, I wanted to share it with you today.

This week in my digital planning YouTube series, I did a traditional plan with me set to music. I chose music over a voice over because I felt talking about what I was doing over and over would be very redundant. I do have lots of plans for future tutorials and digital planner purchase reviews along with my weekly plan with me's.

Happy Friday! The weather this week has been crazy. We started with snow on Sunday and ended up with temps in the 80's yesterday. Today we have severe weather threats. Hello Spring in Kansas! Now here's a few of my favorite things this week:

Digital Planning | FIRST LOOK VIDEO

I've been dabbling in digital planning for awhile now. I received several requests to do a YouTube video on how I do it. I primarily (98%) use Paper & Glam digital stickers in my digital planner, so I showed how I use those. However, the instruction works for any digital stickers you may have.

Spring on my Mind

"SPRING: a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be."

Here in the Midwest, Spring is starting to make an appearance. We've had several 60° days and warmer nights. It's no secret that fall is my favorite season, but I'm not a huge fan of winter. I hate being cold. Spring comes second to fall in my preferences for seasons.

This week I put away all Valentine decor and brought out Spring and Easter. Spring decor makes me so happy. It reminds me of new beginnings and new life. 2018 has been a year of self reflection and growth for me. I didn't plan on it being that way, it just sort of happened. The first week of January I ended up in the ER with indescribable pain. It was kidney stones. That's unfortunately nothing new to me, however it's been many many years since I've had them. This lead me down a rabbit hole of health issue discoveries. Without going TMI here, let's just say one test revealed something, then another test revealed another thing. They put me on a water pill & potassium to flush my kidneys. I don't want to be on medication for the rest of my life. I loathe taking daily medications.
