First month in my Erin Condren planner

Wednesday, April 19, 2017

As you know, I've been using a Limelife planner for over 2 years now.  I recently was given the opportunity to try an Erin Condren for free.  I decided to change things up and give the EC a test run.  I know... I know... I'm a little late to the planner game on that one.  Honestly though, I've been super happy with my Limelife for so long.  That being said, it's time to try something new.

I was lost at first.  When you've planned the same way in the same layout for 2 years, it's a shock to the system!  I feel like midway through April, I finally got my groove.  But we're looking at March today.

The first week I jumped right in with true EC style and went with a "no-white space" layout.  I always enjoy laying down stickers for a no white space layout, but NEVER EVER EVER end up enjoying them.  They just don't work with my brain visually for planning.  However, these stickers were absolutely adorable.

The second week I turned to my trusty stamps & Paper and Glam stickers.  I love love love Paper and Glam.  Please go check out her shop if you aren't familiar with her already.  Lisamarie puts together the most cohesive sticker sets on the market.  I struggled with stamping at first.  I struggled with a lot at first in my Erin Condren...

By the third week I was starting to feel more of a groove and went with a simple organized theme.  I continued on this week with a mix of stamps & Paper and Glam stickers.

The final week of March, I went all out with the stamps.  Decorative stamps AND functional stamps.  I also carried over a couple of full box stickers from Paper and Glam.  I loved stamping again, but also missed how quick stickers were during the planning process...

Currently I'm full on Paper and Glam sticker planning.  I've been super busy in my Etsy shop building inventory for faster shipping times.  I've also had quite a lot going on at my non-planner job.  Stickers are easiest for me when life gets hectic.

A few thoughts.......
I hate the paper in my EC.  It's terrible quality.  I do very much miss the quality of my Limelife planner paper.  I love the extra lines at the bottom of the page.  As you know my Limelife planner layout had 3 vertical boxes similar to EC.  I also love the space in between the rows.  Honestly, I'm in love with the layout.  I still think the paper quality would be a deal breaker for me if I had to spend my money on a choice between EC and Limelife.

[As always: all planner clips in the photos can be found in my Etsy shop]
